Rachel came to me as a young singer working very hard to make it in NYC. She was very talented of course, but was what I call a high maintenance singer. It took a long time for her to warm up and she was very inconsistent in hear level of execution. Rachel and I worked very hard together and ultimately continued our work which included co-writing and recording for over 5 years. Rachel said to me many times, “I feel like you really gave me my voice.” But the real truth is of course that Rachel worked hard with what we were working on and put her voice together in a way that will now serve her and bring a lot of joy to others for years to come.
You see, Rachel had already been singing for years and worked with other teachers by the time she found me. But she had gotten stuck in patterns that weren’t serving her, and were holding her back.
